Hello
We will have a distance of about 42 cm between two levels and are going to build a staircase (indoors).
Since the riser height in a staircase should be 17-18 cm, I wonder how we can make the staircase good.
It feels like two steps would be too high and three would be too low.
Is there any other solution or alternative for stairs? :)

If there is space, I would have chosen three steps = 14 cm step height.

With the old formula 2 x step height + step depth = 63 centimeters, the step depth would be 35 cm.

Use the stair formula:
2x riser height + tread depth = ~620 to 630 mm.
So, 3 steps with a height of 140 each give a tread depth of 340 (2x 140 + 340 = 620).
