We have just bought a villa from the 70s and are in the midst of renovating! We have also started renovating the stairs; they're to be painted white, and ideally, we'd like some sort of carpet on the steps. The question is what's best!? Vinyl mat or carpet!? Of course, the price matters since there are other things to be done in the house as well!!!!!
We're planning to do all the work ourselves, so tips on how to easily calculate the angles of the steps are also welcome since the old carpet was torn off in pieces :/
Then I also wonder how best to attach vinyl mat/carpet in the stairs, is glue the way to go!? Or do you use double-sided tape as I saw in some internet shop for carpets!?
And what do you think, could one use Tarkett's floor in a box or will it be too expensive since you might not get very many pieces per box!?
