Stair railing and ceiling

Need help!! I have no stair railing and roof over the landing since we changed the surface on the stairs. How do you think I should approach this? I've tried looking for pictures of how others have done it but haven't found any. The old railing was in rusty brown metal that didn't match the dimensions of the steps and an ugly tin roof.

Behöver hjälp!! Har inget trappräcke och tak över platån sen vi bytte ytskikt på trappan. Hur tycker ni jag ska tänka? Har försökt leta bilder hur andra gjort utan att finna. Det gamla var i rostigt brunt metallräcke som inte passade med mått i trappstegen och fult plåttak.
