How do you make tight joints when installing a vapor barrier in a standard attic floor? By standard, I mean trusses c120, plastic, furring strips, drywall. You can't clamp the joints in the same way as in the walls because the furring strips run across the trusses. Is overlapping enough, and if so, how much?
 
You tape the joints with age-resistant tape.
 
Overlap at least 20 cm, preferably more!

Tape + "glue" with construction silicone for a super tight seal!
 
OK. I assume there is specially designed tape for this purpose.
