Hello! I have some roof trusses with rot damage, about 1.5 m is damaged in the middle. How do I splice a truss? It has these dimensions: 150x75 cm.

you can join with as large a nail plate as you can fit, and then many anchor screws, if you want to be extra careful you can also add an extra plank on each side of the joint and nail properly. but if it is as small as 150x75 cm then the nail plate is sufficient.

Thanks for all the answers. So if I am going to patch with sheet metal, I should cut away the damaged area, meaning 1.5 meters, and replace it with a new piece. Should I cut at an angle or cut straight off?

Yes, just cut it straight off, just make sure the new piece doesn't wobble.

Cut off the piece, attach a new one and screw it in place with 12mm plywood at the joints from both sides. I just helped my neighbor build new trusses for his garage, and we did this at every joint. He used 2"x8" lumber in the trusses and 60 cm plywood pieces at the joints from both sides. Plus 70 million screws. ;D

If you splice more rafters, do not place the cuts symmetrically. Offset the cutting surfaces so that the rafters do not sag in the same place (sag might be a strong word but you surely understand).
