I will be laying large tiles in the hallway 45*45, hence it will require floating adhesive. I've only used regular adhesive before, how do you proceed specifically with floating adhesive?...what size notches should be used?

10mm at least. Make sure to clean the tiles immediately as it usually adheres a bit better than regular fix. Then it should be mixed slightly looser than regular fix but perhaps you've already figured that out.

yeah but otherwise you apply it just like usual fix?...out with a trowel and then distribute with the notched trowel a bit...?!

Yes, it is an advantage if the surface is quite even as it is difficult to adjust the tiles vertically using the adhesive.

The surface needs to be really flat because it is not so easy to "click" up the tiles with flytfix.

There is a special flytfix trowel called Alpen:

I will see if I can get hold of such a notched trowel today. I have leveled the floor with leveling compound so it's even, the only problem is that the pipe where the temperature sensor for the underfloor heating is located sticks up 4mm but that shouldn't be in the way if you use a 10mm trowel?!
