Hello,

We are renovating our apartment where we've applied renovation plasterboard on existing walls (partly light concrete and tretex boards). We made the mistake of setting beveled edges against the window and door frames, so now there is a recess framing the door and window.

We are considering putting a new wider trim around the windows to cover the beveling (the plasterboard currently aligns with the existing trim). But I'm wondering if it's possible to apply filler in the beveling so that it's at the same level as the plasterboard elsewhere? If so, do you need to have any reinforcement in the form of fiberglass or paper, or will it hold as it is? Since it doesn't connect to another plasterboard, there isn't really anything that moves.

Grateful for a response!

Putty on, you're doing well.
