A house built around the 1940s. In the basement, there are hard walls, not sure if they are brick or concrete, then plaster on it. Between the wall and the ceiling, there is a nice large radius. I suspect the ceiling is a wooden construction with bast and mesh, then plaster.
It has cracked in the ceiling between the hard radius and a few centimeters into the ceiling. The crack is all around the entire ceiling.

Does anyone know if there is any form of good solution? Or is it like before, where you have to remove around the crack and apply new plaster/spackle? Then paint it and redo everything after X number of years. In other words, the way it is today.

If you start tinkering with that, the whole roof will come down soon. If it's just cosmetic, I would be satisfied with painting.

  • Crack in a beige ceiling near a white window in the corner of a room. Natural light from the window highlights the crack's zigzag pattern.
  • Cracked ceiling near a wall corner with visible lines and chipped paint, indicating potential structural issues or settling in the building.
