Soundproofing in Ceilings.

How much can a standard approximately 15mm model porous tiles dampen from the floor above?
Does it dampen anything in the bass?
Is there somewhere to get information on different ceilings?

Bass is the hardest to dampen. The longer the sound waves, the further they can travel through various materials.

I don't think these panels have much effect on precisely this, BUT it depends a bit on how the situation is now?

I don't know what you mean by porous tiles, but I don't think you'll notice any difference, even with real acoustic ceiling tiles. Those tiles are mostly meant to dampen the reverb inside your room. Google acoustic ceiling and you'll find info...

as previous speakers have said...not a bit...these tiles take care of the aftermath and absorb internal noise...
