We have put up two walls with sliding doors.

One of the fittings was incorrect, but we didn't have time to return it, which means that wall only consists of a drywall on each side. Of course, with insulation in between where the sliding door doesn't go in.

But I was thinking of gluing some form of soundproofing mat on the inside of the wall where the door runs.

Partly to dampen sound that passes through, but also so that the wall would feel a bit more robust. It feels very hollow when you knock on it today.

Any tips on what I should attach there?

I'm thinking of something like this https://www.biltema.se/bil---mc/biltillbehor/ljudisolering/ljuddampningsplatta-2000018990

Why not use double drywall?
