Damn, you guys are being silly with your answers.
It's no wonder TS writes the way they do, that no one 'dares' to ask about how to insulate.
Come on with proper answers about insulation instead.

Yeah, yeah.. Now you've said what you think TS should do.
But that wasn't what TS asked about, but rather "How to best isolate."
Do you have anything to add there?
Yes, I answered that initially.

And whether TS is she/he/hen is quite irrelevant. It's amazing that some have to get hung up on such details.
Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying too, it's completely irrelevant.

Answer the question instead..
I already have, the seller of the materials (boards/panels etc.) has the information on how each product dampens.

The cheapest and easiest is to soundproof the sound source.

What is your own answer?

Nothing about isolation, but I'm interested in the same thing as the OP, yet have to read a bunch of nonsense.
Grow up, and maybe you’ll experience sex too....

So you don't answer yourself, but have opinions about those who do. Yet you apparently hadn't read my answer.

It's better that you contribute something yourself rather than just argue about irrelevant things. The OP has received answers from many in the thread, you should read it again from top to bottom.

If you have sex with someone other than yourself, it's easy for some lustful sounds to slip out, which maybe not everyone here in the thread understands....hen might want to try it 😀🙄
To TS, heavy curtains, rugs. Not having the bed against a wall can help. Make sure the parent's bedroom is separate.

The safest option is a concrete bunker with thick walls. But it might give off a Fritzl vibe. Perhaps positive for some? ;)

By the way, once attended a viewing in a Svensson townhouse. We saw the family leaving before the viewing. Black rubber wallpaper on the walls and an enormous ceiling mirror over the bed on a platform in the parents' bedroom gave off bad vibes. We moved on. :)

One idea is to send the kids to grandparents, friends for a sleepover, etc. when there are going to be some louder activities. A classic.

No, but you know... "anticipation" ;-)

Sure, it doesn't really work if these activities are going on every single day/evening/night/morning.

It wasn't entirely unexpected that the thread would derail with insinuations about how good people are in bed.

According to my amateur knowledge, there are two types of sound you isolate for - structure-borne (travels through material) and airborne. Structure-borne can be solved with rubber hangers, bushings, and other stuff.

It seems to be mostly airborne "noise" that needs to be dampened in this case.

Then you can look at the same solutions used for lecture halls, music studios, and similar places. Thick sound-absorbing panels or "acoustic panels" mounted in the existing ceiling and on walls. Heavy thick drapes are another solution/complement that can look nice and can be easily drawn aside when not needed.
Replace the bedroom door with a soundproof door (e.g., like those used in health centers, heavy as hell).
Maybe check the ventilation duct and install extra silencers there.
