Hello! I have a house from '63. The ceiling has soft board in long panels (tretex), which I think gives the house a pleasant impression. I need to replace parts of the ceiling in a bedroom, so I need a different ceiling material, but I find that the pre-painted MDF panels I've found in stores give a plasticky impression because they are completely flat and slightly glossy, which doesn't suit our house where most things are a bit uneven.
Is it not possible to find soft board as ceiling panels anymore? Or something similar that gives a less plastic feel?

Huntonit, which is in hard masonite and painted instead of foiled, is a slightly nicer product. But the difference is quite negligible.
My house had what I believe are byggmax boards in one room when I moved in and I have installed Huntonit in all other rooms that still had the old tretex type in various versions. You can hardly see the difference even if you try when you're at normal head height.
Brilliant is the type I've installed.

Thank you, aha, can you paint the huntonit boards matte perhaps?
