Planning to try to polish up this window reveal, but I'm quite unsure about which methods are suitable.

A window with exposed foam insulation and a rough concrete edge, with snow-covered yards visible outside, and a tool resting on the sill. Close-up of a window reveal made of lightweight concrete, needing plastering to match other windows. Snow-covered yard visible outside.

Need to add about 15mm to the finished surface to match the other windows, locally 30-35mm.

Lightweight concrete as you can see. I have no experience plastering on it, but I imagine it's quite tricky since it absorbs so much? Maybe netting or primer could work?

Otherwise, I'm considering building a form and pouring mortar from above, but perhaps that's complicating something simple?

How would you do it?

Do you absolutely have to plaster? The quickest solution should otherwise be to glue up plaster with e.g. gipsputs in the reveal where you can use the gipsputs both as glue for the boards and to fill up the cavities.

No, I'm completely open to suggestions here. Organic materials work too.

I actually had no idea it was possible to glue with that. So I fill up behind it so that it's even first, right?

the workflow is basically to prepare plaster strips, mix plaster putty, dispense this into the approximate amount needed, and then press the plaster strips in place. If you have slightly too much plaster putty behind, you can often achieve full adhesion and press out the excess if you're a bit careful. The plaster putty is so sticky that even the upper part will be able to be pressed into the putty without further fixation.
