Hello! I tore out the floor with plastic against concrete and walls with wooden studs and insulation about six months ago in the den in our basement.
All the other rooms in the basement have elevated floors and plastered walls, except in the den. Here, it's bare unpainted concrete on the floor and concrete block walls.
Now to the problem. I have cleaned thoroughly several times, tried dehumidifying with a substantial Woods machine for a long time, and treated the floor with Mögel-Fri. But there's still a strong smell, which I still suspect is coming from the floor? It's noticeable even on the living floor.
Any tips on what can be done??? Insulate and elevate to the same height as the remaining rooms? Grateful for any ideas, thoughts, and tips!
