I have repaired similar holes in gutters with chemical metal, though not in copper gutters but in steel gutters, and it lasted at least for the 7 years I continued living in the house after the repair.

What should TS use to heat the gutter if he is to follow your advice?
A regular soldering iron works well for such a small hole

I have sealed a similar hole in a metal bucket with a lead shot that I riveted in place. Maybe it would work with regular solder and a couple of hammers to rivet soft metal into the hole?

Small gas burner and soldering tin

A drop of super glue and then sprinkle on baking soda or bicarbonate. Hardens in a second...

Aluminum and copper are not a good combo. It will cause galvanic currents leading to corrosion, meaning the hole will get bigger over time.
Indeed correct that it's not a good combination, but isn't it the aluminum (being the less "noble" metal) that will corrode?
