A few years ago, I replaced a rotten wall in a horse trailer with formply. Now I've noticed that small cracks have formed on the surface and it has bleached quite a bit. This side of the trailer has been in the sun, so it's not surprising that it has bleached. I'm a bit worried that the cracks might compromise the surface's protection against water; is there a way to oil or treat it to ensure it lasts as long as possible? Would linseed oil work (I have both cold-pressed and boiled at home)? I'm mostly concerned that some oils might negatively affect the surface.

It is fine to oil with linolja, but do not leave any excess as the formplyfan absorbs poorly, and the excess will become a sticky surface.
