Want to install sliding doors, like Elfa or Mirro, in the hallway to hide the hat rack and storage for jackets. The problem is that there is a light switch right where the ends of the doors will hit.
To the question,
How to do this in the most stylish way? Are there wide (around 130mm) edge strips, should one use such a strip and cut a hole for the switch? It also needs to be thick enough so the doors don't hit the switch.
Is there any other way this can be done?
Move the switch is my suggestion. ROT box and new pipes and cables to be able to disconnect the old box.
Alternatively wireless switch
Thanks, I considered that but it felt complicated, the walls are lightweight concrete with embedded vpipes.
Regarding the wireless switch, can you install a Plejd receiver in the box where the switch is and place a wireless switch somewhere else? Then you can hide the box cover behind the stop strip.
There are already 2x Plejd in the ceiling boxes for dimmer function connected to this switch. Is a wireless push-button enough then? And do you build in the existing button behind the strip?

Yes, but you can't obstruct the box. It's possible to recess a box cover into the door trim so you can have it flush with the surface and easily accessible.
Depending on how it is wired in your house, you can remove the switch and its cables and install Plejd in the ceiling box, which is controlled by a wireless button.
