Currently working on drawing a sketch of a slab-on-ground foundation where the exterior wall will be made of brick.
My current sketch looks like this:
* Brick wall attached to the wall with wall ties.
* Air gap
* Insulation about 45mm thick attached with spacers
* Wood outer wall 145mm thick with insulation
* Vapor barrier
* Horizontal studs 45*45 with insulation
* Gypsum 13mm
Now to my question. Where should I have the wind barrier? On the wood guide, they write:
"The water-repellent fabric should be wide enough to cover the entire support surface for the masonry and it should be pulled up on the outside of the sill. The exterior wall's wind protection is mounted outside the raised fabric."
They want me to place it before the wood wall, but that feels very strange because, in such a case, the outer insulation won't work so well, or am I completely off here?
If I am to mount the wind barrier outside the outermost insulation, I don't know how to attach it without using studs. Could possibly Paroc skalmurskiva of stone wool be something to use to get around the problem?
Thanks in advance!
