Planning to build a shed with an open area of 5 x 7 m. That is, without a center pillar. A sloping roof at 7-8 degrees. Tongue and groove boards and roofing sheet metal.
I’m considering roof trusses corresponding to a right-angled triangle with the dimensions: 5, 0.8, and 5.064 m. The slope is then 9 degrees.
The trusses are installed with 1.1 m center to center.
I assume the horizontal part is glue-laminated wood and the sloping and bracing parts are regular construction timber.
My question is if anyone has any ideas on the dimensioning of the truss parts and pillars (4 along the 7 m side)?
