Simple drywall + tiles?

I am in the process of completing a combined laundry room/storage room in the basement. I have framed it with metal studs and am currently drywalling the exterior. What I'm wondering is if it is "enough" with single layer 13mm drywall where I will have the washing machine?... I was planning to tile the wall behind it, but without waterproofing since it just needs to be splash-proof. I have framed with cc45..... Does anyone know how I should proceed? (it feels stable and good)

As far as I know, single gypsum and c/c 450 are sufficient with gypsum boards that are 900 wide.
