Visited Götenehus' new show house in Ågesta, Villa Tingsholm. They had really stylish gutters/downspouts in a silver lacquered shade. Does anyone know the brand/supplier of these?

Zinc gutters ? ???

But galvanized must be painted.
Hehe... since when? You get a really nice patina after a few years. Galvanized is completely hopeless to paint without forbidden primers. The paint inevitably peels off.

Zinc gutters and downspouts (pure zinc) should be reconsidered before choosing. They are extremely cold-sensitive and break like glass at temperatures below -20 degrees with mechanical impact.
A good friend stumbled and hit one of his zinc downspouts on the house. Everything shattered into small pieces, and he got cuts on his neck from the falling debris. Otherwise, it's very nice with a fine patina.

(do you polish your copper roof with Häxan every year too? ;) )

If you want rust as a patina, then it’s certainly perfectly OK. Today's galvanizations are apparently not of the same caliber as before. I thought about installing galvanized gutters myself because it's nice, but the sheet metal worker completely advised against it. Galvanized sheet metal can be painted perfectly well after about 3 years.

aren't these gutters coated with aluzink, the same as standing seam metal roofs are? I went to look at a Trivselhus with silver gutters myself and they didn't look like galvanized - these were shinier.

Does anyone have a picture of this?

Icopal markets gutters in something called Aluzink.
really stylish.

Is it even possible to find galvanized gutters and pipes today without special ordering from the sheet metal worker? What's sold today is just normal ones painted silver.

I guess old-fashioned galvanization holds up better than today's plastic-coated black steel.

Found strange "tags" on the ground after the last cold snap that turned out to be the plastic from the bargeboards that had started to peel off.
It's not a problem to buy galvanized gutters, but as mentioned earlier, it's no longer the "old-fashioned galvanization." I went on a village tour in a miner's village nearby a few years ago with a building antiquarian. He showed various projects done in collaboration with the county administrative board, including an outbuilding where they tried to achieve an older look with galvanized gutters, widely spaced gutter hooks, "crimped trap," and soldered bends on downpipes...less than 15 years later, the gutters were full of rust holes!

PS. Plastisol-coated steel is not black steel; it is also galvanized!

Am a satisfied owner of galvanized gutters that "tried to get an older look with galvanized gutters... and folded bends on the downspouts" for six years, no rust seen yet...

Previously had installed downspouts from Lindab which I do not recommend. Lindab's silver-painted ones are also plastisol, right?

Still waiting for the current downspouts to be painted with linseed oil paint, they will have to wait a little longer...
