Had a minor moisture damage in the bathroom, the sill in the exterior wall is pressure-treated wood, measured moisture level during measurement was above saturation. The positive is that it is a fairly limited area.

So, considering replacing the sill in this area, it will be a total of about 4.5m of sill to replace. How is this done most easily, my insurance agent mentioned casting a ledge for the sill so it is lifted from the concrete slab.

Is this cast ledge necessary, or is it sufficient to lay sill paper that is folded up around the new sill?

The work needs to be done from the inside since the outside is covered with brick that I am not keen on damaging.

Does the inside of the brick wall also need to be replaced, currently, there is a masonite board which does not seem to be affected by moisture at all.
