hi

Is there any major difference? Sealing between pressure-treated wood and metal outside on that thing, used construction-sanitary but have glass. Works just as well?

Anyone know the actual differences between these two types of silicone? And yes, exterior sealant is also an option...

Nobody has an opinion? ;-)

Acetic acid-based?

No idea. What are the actual differences? Glass silicone is a bit more expensive, but does it work roughly the same as the other if it's to be against plates, etc.?

claims that glass silicone is acetic acid-based.
however, that's not the difference, I now see that I have an all-purpose silicone that is also acetic acid-based

So if I need to seal a bit between sheets, probably any will work ;-)

Doesn't sanitary silicone contain something that's supposed to prevent mold? Such things are usually some sort of poison and may be unsuitable to use outdoors as it can affect the plants and animals that are supposed to continue living out there.

Oh dear. Then it is indeed better if you don't want to get påxt....

The problem is probably that the agent dissolves in water or evaporates or something else over time because after a few years in the bathroom, the anti-mold effect has disappeared. If it dissolves in the water, it will follow the rainwater down into the ground and can cause problems there.

A guess on my part. So-called glass silicone is extra clear transparent, free from larger particles. This is advantageous for thin layers.

So it's probably not worse from a purely functional perspective then.
