I am in the process of building in an Ikea wardrobe. I would like to mount a cover panel from floor to ceiling on one side but have a problem.
MDF boards that are sold at places like Bauhaus/Byggmax are 2,440 mm and I would need 2,600. I read here in the forum that splicing MDF works poorly due to movement.
As an alternative, I'm considering gypsum board. It felt hard enough to work as a cover panel, I think.
Or are there other alternatives?

Mdf is available in other lengths, e.g., 2800 and 3050

I joined MDF by doubling its thickness and filled the joint, and it has worked for about 6 years.
