I laid 60sqm of Berg & Berg over the weekend, Oak Lacquer Ruter. Good fit and easy to lay. Only 1 damaged plank out of 25 packages (the tongue was broken, could be a shipping damage).

Previously, B&B have been troublesome to lay according to my carpenters, but the quality has improved significantly lately. Among other things, the tongue and groove construction is said to have changed.

The carpenters also told me to watch out for the knots, sometimes they might have missed spackling and lacquering. I have one such knot, but according to the carpenters, you should be able to deal with B&B and fix such mistakes.

Perhaps it assumes you live near them (Kallinge, Ronneby, Blekinge) - what do I know.

The result is absolutely wonderful. A beautiful, relatively dark lacquered oak parquet.

In the knot holes I've heard that one should paint on Shellac before regular painting/varnishing, so that the knot holes don't release resin that turns into yellow stains. As I understand it, this applies to all types of wood, even door frames made of pine.
