Installed OSB interior walls in the shed. There are no studs where I want to mount wall-fixed bookshelves. Is it enough to just screw them directly into the OSB boards? Regular wood/chipboard screws or do I need some kind of anchor?
I think it's 9mm, from Byggmax. Feels a bit flimsy. But maybe it's just me worrying?

It probably depends on how heavy you intend to have on the shelves.
Also the execution, what kind of pull-out forces are involved.

1 screw holds a hundred kilos.
What are you going to put on the shelves, gold bars?

Choose the right screw and it will hold for both books and mother-in-law ;-)

Good luck.

30 cm out from the wall. Ikea shelf. About the same downwards in the support.
I read somewhere that each screw can hold 20kg. Does that mean 80kg on each shelf? Or do the top two take more of the force? 60kg might be on the low side. Books do weigh quite a bit... can OSB 9mm handle it? It feels so thin and weak.
