Hello!

Do you have any idea how to best seal so that water doesn't run on the wood facade and under the metal? It's been this way for 60 years and some water has run in.
Routing out the boards and getting the metal in would be good, but I don't know how. Sealant is another idea but it would look embarrassingly ugly for posterity.
It's an addition where the roof meets the wall of the old house.

Doesn't look optimal as mentioned. The panel should have been cut, and the metal should be under/inside. Had a similar problem after an ill-considered addition to a shed. I extended a metal sheet up to the horizontal edge that had an overhang.

Kind of like this, but with the placement of your "midjelist" it won't turn out well anyway.

A red wooden wall with metal roofing and a triangular metal extension added on the left side for improved protection.

Tight but not very pretty. Interesting to hear if anyone has any smart tips. Following.
