Planning to build rabbit and chicken houses myself in the spring. Is there any good board material that can be used outdoors? I'm thinking it shouldn't be too difficult to put together some studs, insulation, and boards. Also considering if it's possible to put wheels on the houses to move them in case of a storm or closer to the house during winter.
Aha. And it can withstand rain if I paint it with outdoor paint? Had rabbits before and really tired of even slightly more expensive houses for them being made of wood that isn't particularly good in our climate. To get something better, the price goes up quite a bit and if you're going to get chickens, they should preferably have both insulation and a bit of heat during winter. Feels like I could build something without too much prior knowledge. I'm good at thinking up smart solutions but not skilled in construction, so it would be great to realize a good design that fits us perfectly in reality!
