Planning to build a simple storage box that will also function as a coffee table. The exclusivity of the material doesn't matter much. The only important thing is that it can withstand being outdoors in the rain, etc.
Initially thought of using planed timber, but realized that I would need some form of small batten on the inside to nail against. And since I want to save every millimeter due to limited space, the edges must be a maximum of 15 cm, and there’s no room for extra strips/battens inside, otherwise, the cushions that are supposed to be in the box won't fit.
Therefore, I thought some form of board would suit better as building material. But which board material can handle being outdoors?

Two on the line
Formplyfa withstands most things and is incredibly stiff, you can sit on it, it is a bit more expensive and may not be available in smaller formats. Check if anyone is casting (concrete casting) with formplyfa in the area, there are always some pieces left over that might suit you.
