Will pour a slab for continuous garage and carport, 7 x 11m. The garage slab will maintain a temperature of about 10-15 degrees and the carport slab will have -15 to -25 degrees in winter. Feels like the carport section will lift and crack the slab. Right or wrong?
Should we divide the slab, at the garage wall that separates them, with a gap, foam board or?
We will build with Leca blocks 25cm at the back (11m) for both garage and carport with backfilling against this. Should we separate the garage wall and the carport wall where the carport and garage meet? I mean, if we divided the slab,

I will also have a slab of 15 x 8 m, where one part will be a carport and the other part a workshop.
I mainly think that there will be some heat spill to the carport slab.
I don't understand why the slab (carport part) would be lifted up?
Will you have insulation under the carport part? I will. To avoid any difference when the foam compresses. Then, hopefully, there will be positive temperatures under the unheated part of the slab when it has been insulated (because the heat comes from underneath).
Hope someone else has comments.
