I have a boiler room with a concrete floor and tiles on it, is it possible to use self-leveling compound on the tiles to get a smooth floor again or will it come off? Has anyone tried and knows how it holds up?

Is it on a concrete slab where there is a risk of rising ground moisture?
What type of flooring are you planning to lay on top of the self-leveling compound?

Yes, it is a concrete slab

the floor will be painted

Insulated without invading ground moisture or uninsulated with invading ground moisture?
There is specially diffusion-open levelling compound for floors with invading ground moisture.

I am unsure if the levelling compound is durable enough for that.

Have you levelled before?
It's not always easy to level for the first time.
