I am going to tile my bathroom and am about to buy adhesive.

I have seen that there is tile adhesive, tile glue, and setting compound. Are these different names for the same thing, or do they have different properties? If so, is one better than the other?

I was in a hardware store and saw that they had Rescon Megafix for about 115:- and next to it Casco adhesive for just over 200:- for the same amount. I asked a salesperson if the second one was better than the first, and he said there wouldn't be any difference. (I then asked why they sold something almost twice as expensive if it wasn't better in any way, and he couldn't answer that:) )

What does the panel say, are there any adhesives that are better? Are there any that should generally be avoided? In my case, it will be used in wet rooms.

...and a follow-up question:

On the floor, it will be 5x5, and on the wall, it will be 15x15. Are different adhesives suitable for each type of tile, or should I use the same one? (which one?)

The only difference between the different brands may be that they have different properties, e.g., one dries faster. Then you just use the same one you have on the wall as on the floor.

Because it is a wet room, you have a waterproof membrane. The adhesive must be approved by the manufacturer of the waterproof membrane to be a complete system.
