I would like to take down the wall, the one marked in yellow. It is made of flimsy metal studs and simple plasterboard. I find it very hard to believe it could be load-bearing considering how flimsy it is and that it doesn't span across the entire building, but it always feels better to get a second opinion 😂

  • Interior wall with floral wallpaper, partially opened to reveal metal studs and kitchen cabinets behind.
  • Close-up of a wall with flimsy metal studs and plasterboard, showing construction details and concerns about its structural integrity.
  • Floor plan showing a house layout with a yellow-marked non-load-bearing wall between the kitchen and utility area.
  • Building plan showing wall dimensions and sections, including a non-structural wall in question for removal, marked in the provided context.
Take it down and enjoy more openness

Steel studs are never load-bearing. They do not have the strength to carry any load.
