Seal holes in concrete floor joists
I am going to fill a hole in the concrete slab between the ground floor and the basement with the dimensions L60XB55X30H. The hole is located in the floor along the wall in a corridor. On top is a wooden floor.
1/ Can some form of lightweight concrete or lecablock be used to fill most of the hole instead of filling the rather large hole with concrete?
2/ Or can a combination of casting and lightweight concrete be done?
Attached image taken from below, with existing wooden construction to be removed.
Best regards,
Per-Olof

It's just a matter of drilling rebar into the sides and securing them with anchoring compound and then casting. If it's not going to bear a large load, you can use leca balls that are bound together with cement in a mixer. It becomes like leca blocks and is a bit easier to wheel in.
What is the purpose? The cheapest solution is to address this from below. Add insulation. Create a frame. If it is truly casting you are after, I agree with the previous post, with certain construction additions depending on loads and purpose.
