The screw should not go through the paper on the drywall, I know, but it happens from time to time. What is the consequence of this? Is there any danger with it, or is it just that there will be more to spackle?

Just place one next to it and then there's just more to plaster :)

not as serious on wall gypsum as in ceiling gypsum.... But keep in mind that a house moves over the years... In a wall, it's not noticeable as much as mentioned, but it's worse with ceiling gypsum that hangs.... Similarly, you usually don't do much with putty on ceiling gypsum, instead, you typically create nice beveled edges if there's no putty surface.... In other words, the durability is relatively important...

The risk would be that the boards fall down from the ceiling/wall. Strange that they can't hold the board even if you go through the paper on one or two screws out of 20.

When you build, you build for many years ahead..... not for a few months.....

But one or two screws per 20 are no problem..... Remember that you should not have more than an absolute maximum of 20 cm between each screw.....

Just put a new screw next to it. Not the end of the world.

Thank you all for the answers!
