Hello,
Building a patio and need to screw a post onto the brick facade. I have a number of facade spike plugs, will these work? Should they be placed in the joint or in the brick?

It is possible to screw into the brick as well, it can even be an advantage in terms of durability. But the big advantage of screwing into the joint is that it is easy to restore. Compare with kitchen/bathroom where it is preferable to screw into the tile joints.
