Hello,

Initially, I was considering installing Nivell flooring or the Gihas floor beam system in the basement to protect the future parquet floor from ground moisture. To my dismay, I've realized that these options are really expensive!

As a cheaper alternative, I'm wondering if it's possible/okay to lay Platon membrane on the basement floor instead, and then create a floating wooden framework on top of this, with chipboard? If this is a viable solution, could this not be supplemented with insulation between the beams for a more soundproof construction?

The main reason for a raised floor is primarily for some wiring (speaker cable, etc.) under the floor and because the current floor is somewhat uneven in places.

I also gratefully welcome more suggestions for "cheaper" alternatives to Nivell/Giha, if any exist.

Thank you!

I had completely missed that such a solution was already described in their documentation.
I also didn't know they had solutions for mechanical ventilation of the subfloor.

This fits like a glove in my case.. :)
