Hello,
I have installed a 70x45 timber between the roof trusses (112 cm apart) to hang a swing in the attic (living in a 1½ story house built in 1969).
My question is, does it matter if I screw the timber from below at a 45° angle up to the truss (it's most convenient and currently done this way) or should I fasten the screw into the timber from above (45 degrees)?
Are there any guidelines on how screws should be fastened?
Grateful for guidance.
