Hello!
I'm currently calculating for a garage, but I find it a bit too expensive with the current construction.
At present, I have a glulam beam on the ridge in the sketch and possibly Kerto beams supporting the roof.
This is a very costly solution, and I'm wondering if it can be replaced with a scissors truss. It seems you don't get the same space inside the garage, but if this solution is cheaper, then one has to live with it.
What would a scissors truss cost (roughly) with a span of 8 m and an external roof pitch of 27 degrees? Internally, I would like to have as steep a pitch as possible. Snow load zone 2.5 (live in Falköping), tile roof, roof decking, insulation, and internal cladding.

do you need kerto? Both my friend and I are building our residential houses with ridge beams, I have a ridge beam with a 7.3 m span and he has three beams with a 10 m span. Neither of us has kerto for the purlins, just regular construction timber. I have 30 degrees and he has 38 snow zone 2.0.
