Sawn timber

Hi. I'm considering milling my own lumber for house construction. Does anyone have an idea of how much sawn lumber you get per cubic meter of timber? I'm mainly thinking of panel boards.

What will you be sawing with, chain, blade, or band?

I saw with a carbide blade and I don't think I get 40% usable as 1-inch full-edged boards.
2x6 or thicker I can (with a vacancy on the timber) achieve over 70% at best.

I will saw with a bandsaw. I will also produce some other things like studs, battens, etc. But if you calculate 50% waste, you might not be entirely off there.

It depends on whether you can sell the logs as timber or if you can use something that would just be left in the forest or perhaps spruce affected by bark beetles, which is hard to sell for a reasonable price.

If I can refine "borregran" to 1-inch 7 or larger with more than 40% yield, I'm satisfied.
