What will you be sawing with, chain, blade, or band?
I saw with a carbide blade and I don't think I get 40% usable as 1-inch full-edged boards.
2x6 or thicker I can (with a vacancy on the timber) achieve over 70% at best.

It depends on whether you can sell the logs as timber or if you can use something that would just be left in the forest or perhaps spruce affected by bark beetles, which is hard to sell for a reasonable price.Isch said:
