Considering sound insulation in interior walls. Since the drywall is nailed, it's problematic to insulate with regular panels, so the idea came up to drill holes at the top and pour down sand. Any comments on this? What do you think?
And where can you buy an appropriate amount of sand?
A slightly different idea. Will be a surprise for the one who takes down the wall a number of years later, that's for sure. It's not wrong to let the house breathe and ventilate, and with sand, it becomes quite solid?
The wall will bulge considerably at the bottom due to the weight of the sand. There is a risk that the wall will collapse and/or the floor will settle.
