Rough-sawn wooden beams

Hello everyone !!

I'm looking for logs that are reasonably square. ???
It's okay if there are some cracks and such, it should look old.
Is this something you can cut yourself?
Can you cut these out of trees and then let them dry until they get some cracks, etc.?

I was thinking of something like sleepers but much smaller and not quite so dark.
