Hi!
I have tool storage along one short side of my house but would like a roof for some protection. I have a porch roof with two brackets and glass on the same short side, so it would be nice to put something transparent with brackets over the tools as well. The trick is that it's about three meters long and no standard roofs meet the requirements. Does anyone have a good idea or experience and price estimate for doing it in glass or plexiglass? I live in Gothenburg.
Very grateful for any input!

Thanks!

Best regards,
Jakob

Forget plexiglass, it becomes milky, and it's also expensive.

Ok, thanks for the response. I'll hunt for brackets and see if a glazier can fix the glass. Tips on brackets are welcome.

"estetiken" step back a little!
A rain cover over the rake, weeding tool, and hoe should primarily be practical and cheap.
How about three or four boards at about a 20° angle on 3-4 brackets?
It doesn't have to look like the main entrance either :)

Why not?

Canopies in polycarbonate can be obtained for about 1000 - 1500 SEK/m. It is usually possible to connect several side by side if you want a wider roof. Polycarbonate entrance canopy above a wooden door with a wall-mounted lantern and green plant nearby.

Great! That's good, thank you for all the input.

Was on sale at Jula for 599:-
I've installed Biltema's Over a Garage door, AWESOME! about 4.5 m wide

Glass is quieter than plastic when it rains and doesn't scratch as easily. 2 pieces of 1.5 m 8 mm tempered laminated glass that have a bracket at each end and one in the middle that you splice on. Tempered only is also possible, but then you'll have glass everywhere if it breaks, or if you happen to stand underneath when it breaks, you'll get it all on your neck.
