What does the dashed line used to draw the wall to the living room mean?

Is it as I think, i.e., that an alternative wall has been drawn that may not be built once construction begins after obtaining a building permit?

There is no wall here today and I'm curious if it has ever existed.

It is an opportunity/suggestion that is eradicated to provide inspiration.

If it is an advertisement for an existing house, it is to make the buyer aware that more rooms can be created.

If it is a prospect for new construction, you can usually choose that wall as an option.

This is a drawing of my current house that I received from the municipality. It was submitted by the contractor for the building permit. (1974)

Then it is a wall that could have been chosen but was never chosen during the construction.
