Planning to install a cellar door where there is currently a cellar window. The door won't be wider than the window. Are there any construction aspects I need to consider, such as reinforcing anything?
The house was built in 1908. The cellar walls are about 30 cm thick, cast with a lot of natural stone in them. The ceiling between the cellar and the ground floor is cast with visible steel beams about 1 m apart, approximately 20 cm thick.
It all feels extremely stable, but it would be good to know that I am not missing anything.

Basement wall with an arched window and metal bars, pipes visible at the bottom; intended as future door site, built 1908, sturdy construction.

Pushing for my own thread - anyone with some insight into construction techniques who knows or can provide input on the question above?
