Hello!

I have purchased 10 windows.

I don't know how to install these?

The windows are to be installed in a basement foundation built of granite blocks.

Drilling and plugging for the frame screw, I understand.

Sealing with mineral wool.

Install window sills.

But then ? ? ?

Sealant around the window?
Mortar around the window?
Metal sheets around the window?

Very grateful for tips and ideas :)

If the basement foundation is built of granite blocks, it sounds like there are uneven/irregular openings where the window should be placed. In that case, mortar is the way to go! It looks the best and most professional too.
Soft sealant is hard to apply nicely for the inexperienced.
With mortar around the window, you just have a damp sponge and wipe away where you happened to smear.

Soft sealant is difficult to apply neatly for the untrained.
With mortar around the window, you just need a damp sponge to wipe away any excess.

That's right... There are irregular openings.

How do I "mortar"? Directly on the packing? Will it adhere?

I once saw some sort of band that expands? Does anyone know what this is?

Skip mineral wool and sealing foam.

I foam many windows I install, but I only foam basement windows if they are fixed windows. The reason is that the windows are rarely high enough to use a hammer drill and drill for plugs upwards and downwards, which is a must if you are going to foam the window. The lintel and sill will definitely warp due to the expansion of the foam sealant. Expanding foam tapes are approved and keep out rain.

It will be mineral wool for me then, as the manufacturer recommended it due to warping.

Sounds good.. Where can I get foam tape? I checked Beijer and Byggmax but didn't find anything.

Not many have fogband at home on the shelf... definitely not Byggmax.
Beijer will bring it home for you if you order.
Fogband is expensive.
