I have removed damaged plaster in what will eventually become my office to prepare for the electrician, and under the plaster on the exterior wall, there is a shiny metallic paper, which I assume is the old vapor barrier. Should I tape all the tears and nail holes, or should I take it down as well and replace it with plastic?
