Have a rotting post for the sunroom, it supports boards that hold windows.

Can one saw off a part of it and replace, anchor to the plinth, or perhaps a new plinth?

Or what is the best temporary solution for this according to you?

Thank you humbly for all the help :-)

  • Decaying wooden post on a conservatory corner with peeling paint and visible rot, supported by a concrete block, surrounded by grass.
  • Decaying wooden post in sunroom, supporting window boards, with visible damage at the base near the ground. Garden hose lies on grass beside the structure.
  • Rotting post supporting window frames with peeling paint at the base, on a concrete plinth, next to a garden patio.
