Hello,
Conditions:
Turn-of-the-century apartment with interior walls either in timber or brick, both types with plaster on the outside.

I want to remove the plaster, as it is damaged in several places and uneven, and replace it with drywall. At the same time, I will install electrical conduits. What thickness do the studs need to have (I want to build out as little as possible in the room)?

I am aware it will be dusty, but is it more work than what is considered reasonable for the result (straight walls with recessed electrical)? Will the neighbors be waiting for me in the laundry room with baseball bats?

/Andreas
