Replace panel on gable end with masonry blocks and plaster
Hello
We are going to plaster our mexitegel house and plan to remove the panel on the gable end and plaster all the way up. We had a plan to tear down the gable, frame it onto the roof truss, and install exterior drywall, then build the gable with lecablock with an air gap inside.
Question 1: Will I have problems with cracks in the gable?
Question 2: Is it the right way to go with exterior drywall, or should a different type of board be used?
I have also heard that you can completely skip installing any boards, and perhaps just put roofing felt on the roof truss against the masonry blocks.
